Information we collect
3D Printing Calculator Hub is built to work without collecting personal information. We don't require accounts, sign-ups, or profiles, and we don't ask for your name, email address, or any other personal details in order to use the calculators.
Calculator input data
The numbers you type into a calculator — filament weight, print speed, prices, and so on — are processed locally in your browser using JavaScript running on your device and are not intentionally transmitted to or stored on our servers. Your selected currency is saved in your browser's local storage so it's remembered on your next visit. That preference is stored locally on your device and is not used by us for tracking.
Technical/log data
Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log basic technical information when you visit — such as IP address, browser type, device type, and the pages requested — for security and operational purposes (for example, detecting abuse or diagnosing outages). This is standard web server behavior rather than something we actively collect or analyze ourselves at this stage.
Cookies and similar technologies
We do not currently set cookies for tracking or advertising. The site uses your browser's local storage (not a cookie) to remember your currency preference. This preference is stored locally and is not used by us for tracking. If we introduce services that use cookies in the future — see Analytics and Advertising below — we'll update this policy and, where legally required, request your consent before doing so.
Analytics
We do not currently use an analytics service. If we add one in the future — such as Google Analytics or a privacy-focused alternative — it would collect general usage data (like which pages are visited and how) to help us understand and improve the site. We'll update this policy to name the specific service and explain what it collects before turning it on.
Advertising
We do not currently show advertising on this site. If we introduce advertising in the future — such as Google AdSense or a similar display-advertising network — those providers may use cookies or similar technology to serve ads based on your visit to this and other sites. We'll update this policy to reflect that and identify the advertising provider(s) in use.
Affiliate links
We do not currently participate in any affiliate programs. If we add affiliate links in the future — for example, linking to 3D printing hardware or filament from a retailer — clicking those links may let the retailer know you came from this site, and we may earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you. We would clearly disclose which links are affiliate links at that time (see also our Terms & Disclaimer).
Third-party services
Beyond our hosting provider, this site does not currently rely on third-party services that process personal data. Any third-party service we add in the future (analytics, advertising, affiliate tracking, or similar) will be described in an updated version of this policy.
Data retention
Because we don't collect personal information or store your calculator inputs, there is generally nothing for us to retain. Your currency preference stays in your browser's local storage until you clear your browser data or change it yourself. Any technical log data automatically kept by our hosting provider is subject to that provider's own retention practices.
Children's privacy
This site is a general-audience tool and is not specifically directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International users
This site is accessible worldwide. Calculator inputs are processed locally in your browser. However, basic technical information associated with accessing the website may be processed by our hosting provider in the countries where it operates. If we introduce additional third-party services, we will update this policy accordingly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the site evolves — for example, if we add analytics, advertising, or affiliate links. We'll update the “Last updated” date above whenever we do, and significant changes will be reflected clearly on this page.
